Number 5 is Alive

November 3, 2009

So, if you are anything like me, and live in the city of Orlando, you have been frustrated by the work that goes into recycling.  I have lived all over this city and have went from no available recycling (aka, pack it up and bring yourself knowing the impact is so small because none of your neighbors are doing this.) to some recycling to what I currently have, which is very limited (no plastic over #3, no paper except newspaper, etc.)

Now, I will say here “it is best not to recycle, but to reuse,” but how many yogurt cups can you find use for  (although freecycle is still an option!)  In which case, Wholefoods may be the place you can take them now (that is any #5 plastic.)

Should be clean 😉

So here’s how it works: fill your reusable grocery bags.  Go to the market, drop them off, fill bag with groceries and leave… well ya know, pay for it.

Just thought you would like to know!
